Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

JAMBO – KARIBU! Touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where our representatives warmly welcome you in true African style – refreshing towels and a glass of bubbly. In keeping with tradition, you’ll also receive a thoughtful gift: a branded safari hat and an essentials pack. Thereafter, transfer to your Nairobi city hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to relax and acclimatize.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking vistas. As you cross the valley, pass Mount Longonot before proceeding to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive exploring the park’s highlights such as Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill. Lake Nakuru is a sanctuary for endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, both black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, and elusive leopards. The park is also home to more than 300 bird species.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, journey to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the northern extension of the Serengeti Plains. Arrive for a late lunch at the intimate Tipilikwani Luxury Tented Camp.

This afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the golden savannah in search of the iconic Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in the Masai Mara

Spend the day exploring the Mara in depth. Witness predators on the hunt, vast herds of wildebeest and zebra, and perhaps even a cheetah sprint or leopard kill.

Optional Activities:

  • Hot Air Balloon Safari: Float above the Mara plains at dawn and enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush.

  • Cultural Visit: Visit a Maasai Manyatta and experience the traditions and lifestyle of the Maasai people.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park (via Isebania Border)

After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for the Serengeti, crossing into Tanzania through the Isebania/Sirari border. Covering nearly 15,000 sq. km, the Serengeti is one of the world’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries. Arrive at your lodge for check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Full Day in the Serengeti

Set out with picnic lunches for a full-day game drive across the Serengeti plains. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to over three million large mammals, including vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The Serengeti is truly a wildlife photographer’s paradise.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at Olduvai Gorge – a world-renowned archaeological site that sheds light on early human evolution. Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim with breathtaking views below. Spend the afternoon at leisure enjoying the scenery.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Today, descend 610 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world and home to Africa’s densest population of wildlife. Enjoy a full day of game viewing with picnic lunch on the crater floor. Look out for prides of lion, endangered black rhino, buffalo, elephants, and rich birdlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds. This park is also home to dry-country species such as oryx and gerenuk, rarely found elsewhere. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge.

Day 10: Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, depart for Arusha. Bid farewell to your safari adventure as you are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. Depart with unforgettable memories and photographs capturing your once-in-a-lifetime African safari.
