After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time for check-in and lunch. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the property’s facilities.
The Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed when a massive volcano collapsed millions of years ago, it is 610 meters deep and 20 kilometers across, covering 311 sq. km. The crater is home to nearly every species of African plains game, including the endangered black rhino and the largest concentration of predators in Africa. Seasonal birdlife, like flamingos, thrives in Lake Magadi on the crater floor.
After breakfast, descend 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. This spectacular caldera, the largest intact in the world, is a natural sanctuary brimming with wildlife – lions, Cape buffalo, gazelles, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, elephants, hyenas, and more.
The crater also holds deep archaeological significance, with some of the earliest human remains discovered nearby. With hundreds of bird species and breathtaking landscapes, this experience is often a highlight of Tanzania safaris. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Enjoy breakfast before departing Ngorongoro. En route, stop at the world-famous Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site where some of the earliest human remains were discovered. Continue to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
Covering nearly 15,000 sq. km, Serengeti is renowned for its endless plains, the Great Migration, and some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife encounters. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is teeming with wildlife, from black-maned lions, cheetahs, and leopards to elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and countless bird species.
The sweeping landscapes, rolling grasslands, and acacia-dotted plains make the Serengeti not just a safari destination, but a true African icon.
Optional Activity: A dawn balloon safari over the Serengeti plains, ending with a champagne breakfast.
After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch via the Ngorongoro area to Tarangire National Park (or Lake Manyara, depending on your circuit). Tarangire is famous for its massive baobab trees, migrating herds, and large elephant population. It also hosts dry-country species such as the fringe-eared oryx and long-necked gerenuk.
Game drives here offer an excellent finale to your Tanzania safari, with diverse wildlife and dramatic scenery. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, check out and bid farewell to the wild. Relive unforgettable safari memories as you drive back to Arusha. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
