Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Hello, Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed with our signature African hospitality – bubbly, refreshing hot/cold towels, and a presentation of authentic safari hats and essentials. Your dedicated driver-guide will assist with luggage before transferring you to your Nairobi hotel, where your unforgettable Rift Valley Safari Tours adventure begins.

Day 2 Aberdare National Park

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive north through scenic highlands dotted with small farms, coffee plantations, and pineapples. Arrive at the Aberdare Country Club for lunch before transferring to your unique tree lodge deep in the forest.

As part of your Rift Valley safari experience, enjoy game viewing at the floodlit waterhole, spotting elephants, rhinos, Cape buffalo, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs, and the rare bongo. A ground-level bunker offers close-up photographic opportunities of the wildlife.

Daay 3 Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive down the Great Rift Valley with stunning views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha before arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy lunch at your lodge before heading out on a thrilling game drive.

This iconic soda lake is world-famous for its flamingos and diverse birdlife. The park also shelters endangered species such as the black rhino and Rothschild’s giraffe, along with lions, buffalo, and leopards.

Day 4 Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s premier safari destination and home to the Big Five. Travel through the Great Rift Valley before arriving at your lodge/camp for a late lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive across the rolling savannahs, where you may spot black-maned lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and countless other plains game.

Day 5: Full Day in the Masai Mara

Enjoy a full day exploring the Masai Mara, famous for its big game and rich Maasai culture. After an exciting morning game drive, return for lunch and then visit a traditional Maasai Manyatta to learn about the customs, traditions, and way of life of this iconic community.

Optional activities include:

  • A hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains with a champagne breakfast.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, check out and bid farewell to the lodge staff. Drive back to Nairobi with cherished photographs and unforgettable safari memories. You’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
