Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Hello! The Travel Soley team will warmly welcome you upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with our signature hospitality – champagne, refreshing hot/cold towels, and the presentation of authentic safari hats and souvenirs. Your professional driver-guide will assist with your luggage and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Aberdares National Park

After breakfast, check out and head north through fertile farmlands, coffee, and pineapple plantations en route to Aberdares National Park. Lunch will be served at the Country Club before transferring to your forest tree lodge. From here, enjoy unique game viewing at the floodlit waterhole and salt lick—spot elephants, rhinos, Cape buffalo, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, leopards, Sykes monkeys, and the rare bongo. A ground-level bunker provides incredible photography opportunities.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart via Nanyuki to Samburu Game Reserve, set in Kenya’s semi-arid northern frontier. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

The life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River attracts large herds of elephants and rare northern species found only here, including the Gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and Beisa Oryx. With dramatic sunsets and a vibrant Samburu culture, the reserve is a truly magical destination.

Day 4: Samburu Game Reserve – Full Day

Spend the day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for leopards at dusk and enjoy birdwatching with species like the Palm Nut Vulture and Vinaceous Dove.

Optional: Visit a Samburu Manyatta (traditional homestead) to experience local culture.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, travel south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving at Sweetwaters Serena Camp for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through this unique conservancy, home to the Big Five, endangered rhinos, and Kenya’s only chimpanzee sanctuary.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive around the lake, famous for flamingos, pelicans, and birdlife, as well as rhinos in its sanctuary.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley to Kenya’s crown jewel—the Masai Mara. Arrive for lunch at your lodge/camp before setting out on an afternoon game drive.

This world-renowned reserve offers sightings of the Big Five, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, wildebeests, and more. The Mara is also famous for the Great Migration (July–October).

Day 8: Masai Mara – Full Day Safari

Spend a full day in the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.

Optional Experience: Take to the skies with a hot air balloon safari. Glide over the Mara plains at sunrise and enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush—an unforgettable adventure.
