Tsavo East is one of the largest and oldest national parks in Kenya, covering more than 13,000 km² of pure wilderness. Known as the “Theatre of the Wild”, the park is famous for its vast landscapes, red-dust-covered elephants, and incredible diversity of wildlife.
Red Elephants – Hundreds of elephants roll in the park’s red volcanic soil, giving them their unique rust-colored appearance.
The “Man-Eaters of Tsavo” – The park is home to large prides of lions, forever linked to the legendary stories of the man-eating lions during the building of the railway in 1898.
Wildlife Paradise – Giraffes, zebras, buffalos, leopards, cheetahs, crocodiles, hippos, and over 500 species of birds thrive here.
Stunning Landscapes – From the Yatta Plateau (the world’s longest lava flow) to the palm-fringed Galana River, Tsavo East offers some of the most dramatic scenery in Kenya.
