Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

JAMBO – KARIBU! The Travel Soley team will warmly welcome you upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport with our signature African greeting – bubbly, refreshing wet towels, and the presentation of an authentic safari hat along with a stylish canvas pouch filled with safari essentials. Your professional driver-guide will assist with your luggage and transfer you to Arusha for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, depart Arusha for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy lunch before relaxing at your lodge with breathtaking views. Known as one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed millions of years ago from a collapsed volcano.

Home to almost every species of African plains mammal—including the endangered black rhino, elephants, lions, and an impressive population of predators—the crater offers unrivalled game-viewing. Many visitors pair it with a Serengeti safari for the ultimate Tanzanian adventure.

Day 3: Full Day in the Ngorongoro Crater

Today, descend 600 metres into the vast Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch at a private scenic spot. Experience an unmatched variety of wildlife, from prides of lions and herds of buffalo to zebras, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. The crater is also rich in birdlife, with flamingos, storks, and eagles gracing its lakes and skies.

Apart from wildlife, the area holds immense archaeological significance, with discoveries of early human ancestors nearby. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park, stopping at Olduvai Gorge—often called the “Cradle of Mankind”—where you’ll learn about fascinating fossil discoveries dating back millions of years.

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Covering nearly 15,000 square kilometres, the Serengeti is famous for its endless plains, incredible landscapes, and the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. Expect thrilling encounters with lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.

Day 5: Full Day in the Serengeti

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s diverse habitats, from rolling plains to acacia woodlands. Home to one of the world’s largest predator populations, the park offers excellent opportunities to spot cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Bird enthusiasts will delight in sightings of ostriches, secretary birds, and majestic raptors like black eagles soaring above the hills.

Optional Experience: Start your morning with a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti, ending with a champagne breakfast in the bush.

Day 6: Departure – Arusha

After breakfast, bid farewell to the Serengeti as you transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted with your onward transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international departure.

Carry home not only photographs but unforgettable memories of your Tanzania safari adventure with Travel Soley.
