Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

Hello! Touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where Travel Soley representatives eagerly await your arrival. You’ll be welcomed in true African style with refreshing towels, bubbly, and a special gift — an authentic branded safari hat and safari essentials pack to start your adventure.

From here, your Kenya safari holidays begin as you transfer to your Nairobi city hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Kenya’s colorful capital city.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart north via Nanyuki to Samburu Game Reserve, set in rugged semi-arid northern Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

The lifeline of Samburu is the Ewaso Nyiro River, attracting elephants, predators, and an abundance of plains game. Samburu is home to unique northern species such as the long-necked gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and Somali ostrich. It’s also a birdwatcher’s paradise and one of the best places to spot leopards at dusk.

Immerse yourself in Samburu’s fascinating culture, with ancestral ties to the Maasai, and marvel at the beauty of its red sunsets.

Day 3: Full Day in Samburu Game Reserve

Spend the day exploring Samburu and Buffalo Springs Reserves with morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for leopards, elephants, and rare bird species.

Optional: Visit a Samburu Manyatta to learn about the tribe’s way of life in this semi-arid land.

Day 4: Mount Kenya National Park

After breakfast, head to Mount Kenya National Park and check in at your tree lodge for lunch. Nestled on the forested slopes of Mount Kenya, this lodge offers panoramic views, pristine rainforest, and incredible game-viewing at a nearby waterhole.

Watch elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife from a secret underground hide, offering unmatched photography opportunities. Enjoy the mountain air, serene forest, and the thrill of being close to Kenya’s tallest mountain.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop at Thompson’s Falls. Arrive for lunch before an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is world-famous for its birdlife and is home to endangered black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffe, and elusive leopards. Visit scenic points like Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill for breathtaking views.

Although flamingo numbers fluctuate due to rising lake levels, Nakuru remains one of Kenya’s top safari destinations.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your luxury camp for lunch, then embark on your first game drive in this world-renowned reserve.

The Mara’s rolling plains are home to the Big Five — lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo — along with cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and vast herds of wildebeest. End your day with dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 7: Full Day in the Masai Mara

Spend a full day on game drives across the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. Search for the Big Five and, if lucky, witness a predator’s hunt or even a cheetah sprint.

Optional: Take a hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast, or visit a traditional Maasai Manyatta to experience the culture of this iconic tribe.

Day 8: Nairobi – Departure

Enjoy a final breakfast at your safari lodge before check-out. Sadly, your Kenya safari holiday has come to an end, but the unforgettable moments will stay with you forever.

Bid farewell to the warm hospitality of the lodge team, then depart for Nairobi with your guide-driver. Along the way, carry with you not just souvenirs, but cherished photographs and memories of your African safari adventure — from thrilling game drives to the breathtaking landscapes of Kenya.

If time permits, stop for a farewell lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant before your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
